Day 1: An
EcoBuiltTM home can have the basic structure with
the long wall panel and fabricated floor panel system erected in as
little as one day. |
|
|
Day 5: The
quick drying process with its minimal "wet trades" advantage
allows for immediate decoration without the lengthy drying-out period
and condensation associated with other construction methods. |
Day 2: The
roof is felted and battened, while double glazed windows and external
doors allow a wind and weather sealed unit. This two-day schedule is
typical for all IJM EcoBuiltTM Houses. |
|
|
Day 6: Finishing
touches externally, fitted kitchens and wardrobes to all the bedrooms,
central heating radiators proceed final decoration, all to the highest
international standards. |
Day 3: The
brick or block outer skin commences while the internal trades of plumbing
and wiring get underway. The entire house has remarkable dimensional
accuracy throughout. |
|
|
Day 7: Furnishing
and cleaning makes ready for the thousands expected to visit this house
on the 25th year of the RDS Building Exhibition. |
Day 4: The
roof nears completion brickwork continues and internally the insulation
and fire resistant plasterboard are fitted. The insulation standards
proving the major element in the outstanding energy efficiency of all
IJM EcoBuiltTM houses. |
|
|
Day 8: The
"8 Day Wonder" was greatly complimented by the almost 15,000
visitors from across the Building Industry. |
